Israeli military medics evacuate a person wounded in one of several attacks in the Arava desert, to the Soroka hospital in Beersheeba, Southern Israel, Thursday, August 18, 2011.  Assailants armed with heavy weapons, guns and explosives crossed into Southern Israel from the neighboring Sinai peninsula on Thursday, killing 6 Israelis and wounding at least a dozen more in an audicious string of attacks that stoked concerns about Palestinian militants expliting the recent instability in Egypt.
