In times of crisis Chabad is the “First Responder” to the Jewish people. When the Tsunami hit the shores of Thailand, Chabad sprung into action. When the Katrina brought devastation in New Orleans Chabad was there helping and caring. Last summer during the Lebanese War Chabad centers in northern Israel provided thousands of hot meals for Jews in shelters. Chabad summer camps took children away from the front lines. Rabbis visited the troops raising their spirits.
Now in Sderot Chabad is continuing to take a leading role. Chabad Shluchim-Emissaries – have been an integral part of the community for over two decades. They understand the community and its unique challenges. Chabad provides critical services for the residents of Sderot. Emergency assistance to families, include food and financial grants. Programs for kids, such as after school programs and summer camps. Chabad Rabbis and Rebbitzen’s are out there every day. Boosting the moral of community under great strain. Lending a hand and a smile to a community under fire.
The Rabbis, Wives and their staff are on call 24/7. Reaching out, caring, and supporting a community on the frontlines.
Chabad is also lending a hand to the brave soldiers of the Israeli Defense Forces. Volunteers visit soldiers in bases and frontline positions. Bringing food, a warm smile and encouragement to the soldiers. The Teffilin campaign gives soldiers the opportunity to do an important Mitzvah. Chabad gives the soldiers the inner strength to carry out their crucial mission.
Join together in this crucial effort. Stand with the Jews of Sderot.
